Cool Site of the Week

Check out coupontom.com if you need a quick search on coupons.  I am not sure what source the site is using but it does make for a quick check.  I enjoy finding and sharing new saving sites but don't forget to come back here to print your Q's to help support this site.

Savings With Sadie also has a coupon database compiled from the Georgia Times Union.  The database is located on the nav bar on the Grocery page. It is a new format and I am still tweaking it.  To search for a coupon:  Ctrl "F"ind and type in the a keyword and press enter.  You may continue to press enter and it will highlight related coupons.

You won't need this type of database in most instances if you are pulling grocery lists that have already been matched up, but a local database is handy and saves a lot of time if a coupon is in question for your area flyer.  The Georgia Times Union is a large paper and gets considerably more coupons than small town papers.

Special Note:  Sunday's coupons are not yet loaded since I am experiencing computer problems.  Hope to have this up in a few days.

CVS 90% Off Summer Sale

Stop by your CVS and check our their summer clearance sale.  I purchased nine pairs of the cutest summer flip flops for my daughter and her friends for .69 and .99.  I did get a couple for myself as well.  The prices ran from 2.99 to 9.99 and with 90% off - makes them .29 to .99.  The aqua blue shoes are by Okabashi and approved by the American Chiropractic Association and very comfy.  They also would make great shower shoes at the dorm.

When my daughter was younger, we always had a May birthday party to kick off the start of the summer season.  Each year we sent the kids home with a gift.  One year, we had a Peter Pan production and I purchased the cutest chairs at the dollar store.  Everyone took their chair when they left.  Another year, we filled the pool with colorful balls and after lots of fun was had by all, the kids took the balls.   My wheels started turning and the flip flops would make for a great take home prize.  If my daughter was still a munchkin and I were planning a summer birthday party - they would be getting flip flops. I have only been to one CVS and the pickings were getting slim but some of the others may still have some super saver deals.

There are a ton of deals going on in-store and on the internet this week if you are up for some shopping.

Take a look at these boots we purchased for our daughter last fall before I started living life a little more frugally and simply.

I remember paying $209 and here they are being deeply discounted - these are not a brand we usually find on sale.  Of course, we made our purchase in-store, in a college town and they were "must haves" and I was just happy she wanted something other than flip flops.  The boots are good quality and made to last.  It wasn't long after that I found them on line a good bit cheaper.

I do a lot of price checking on the internet now.  It is amazing the deals you find with just a few minutes of searching.

For all of you Seinfeld Fans, Amazon has a one day deal -- get the entire Seinfield series--4140 minutes in one box set.  This is for today only - $99.  Price goes back up tomorrow.  According to one commenter who checked around for prices, they saw it in the stores for around $180.


Great price considering you are getting every episode.


Personally, I would love to have the Andy Griffin shows from the early days.  I know I have seen every show 30 or 40 times over the years and I am sure I will watch them 30 or 40 more times!
