Clean Up Your Messy House

Like Oprah, one of my favorite sites is The Container Store. We have been busy visiting websites looking for the best organizational items for our daughters dorm room and signing up for the $1,000 Dorm Room Makeover here. .

Check out Oprah's show this Wednesday, July 1st. She is having the Clean Up Your Messy House Tour and The Container Store will be featured with a special surprise. Maybe I will be inspired to clean out the last sore spot at my house and that is the garage. That garage sale I have been planning to have for three months, still has not happened. I am feeling the need for some motivation.

Another item we are looking for is a comfy chair. We considered a papasan, however, they take up so much room. The futon has been nixed due to space limitations. The girls want to loft their beds and we only have 74 inches in length to put a chair, bookcase, and fridge underneath the bed. Two girls will be sharing a space 11' x 11' for about eight months so we are trying to be creative and use every square inch.

If you know of another good site for dorm seating, please me know. She found something on PB Teen but it is a little more than I would like to spend since she will only be in the dorm 8 months. I am thinking bean bag but she has other ideas, so the search continues.

How This I Pod Saved My Marriage

UPDATE:

The iPod arrived yesterday at 5:00 PM FINALLY! It was suppose to be here Saturday.

From just the short time my husband has had it, I can tell he is probably secretly glad that I accidentally washed his iPod in the washing machine. What a great excuse to get this one. He can even receive his email on it and go on the internet. He LOVES it!

I am so glad he is happy now -- he has his iPod and a new walking cast. Really, I am the happiest.

Here it is folks, the iPod that has probably saved my marriage. For those of you that are new to Savings With Sadie, you missed the post I made about washing my husband's iPod in the washing machine. Not Good!

As I write this, I am waiting on the doorbell to ring with a Fed-Ex delivery. My husband is out of town and has already called to see if his new iPod has arrived. He did a lot of research and decided to order from Amazon since he did not have to pay tax or shipping and besides Amazon is selling it cheaper than any other site he visited.

Something tells me he is going to be happy with this new iPod. This is an awesome Fathers Day gift.

What are you getting your dad? If not an iPod, how about this cool compact video recorder. It is small enough to throw in a golf bag in hopes of capturing a "hole in one" or even a diaper bag if mom doesn't want to miss those special moments that often go "un-captured" due to bulky recorders. I have not ordered this yet but I am tempted to get it for myself.

Was $154.99

Now $54.99

Click on the link and scroll down to check out the reviews. Sounds like there are three happy people. It is about the size of a pack of cigarettes and gets 30 minutes of record time. Again, check out the review for more details. Did I mention there was FREE shipping on this item too.
